Kuwait: Kuwaiti women's society and UNIFEM organize awareness program

Kuwait News Agency The Women Cultural and Social Society announced Tuesday it will organize a free awareness program for women in cooperation with the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and Freedom House organization.
The society said in a press release that the program, on activating women's role in the National Assembly's performance, will be held from March to May with the participation of current and former members of parliament, specialists, and legal figures and workers. The program will include several seminars and lectures.
In March, three lectures will be given; one by former MP Abdulwahab Al-Haroun on how women can present their issues in parliament, another by Dr. Badriya Al-Awadhi on personal status law, and a third by MP Aadel Al-Saraawi on monitoring and assessing the performance of MPs.
