Worldwide: Make a change for Afghan refugees
Source:
WLUML Funds have already been sent to the Pakistan Citizen's Support Initiative for Afghan Refugees to undertake humanitarian relief to Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
Our friends in Lahore, Pakistan, tell us, "Many, many thanks. Your donations come to a substantial amount when converted to local currency (Pakistani rupees). We have bought and distributed supplies to people both inside and outside the refugee camps. Many people do not have refugee status so this help has proved vital to those who are unregistered and therefore not covered by food and aid programmes."
The need is still there as the winter is drawing in and your contributions are still needed to purchase further supplies. Additional contributions will be collected and sent on 10 December 2001, 7 January 2002 and 4 February 2002.
