“Iranian Judge Talks About Stoning”

This is an interview with Judge Aslanpour, a judge of a high ranking court. When asked about stoning, the Judge states that “Since convincing the judge in such matters in very difficult, the physical occurrence of stoning is not possible.” He also states that since the revolution, “only two people have been killed by way of stoning.” (Contradicting reports.) To obtain assurance, four people have to testify according to the Judge (does not mention “Judge’s knowledge.”) When asked who throws the first stone, the Judge states that the first stone is thrown by the judge who issued the verdict, and the other stones are thrown by people who are willing to do this act. If the woman does not die, she’ll be released (if she was found guilty by confession.)
